eQSL Inbox ADIF Converter

This program will take text copied from your eQSL inbox of
QSOs and convert the QSO data to ADIF format which can then
be imported to your station logging software.

This is an initial version and has not been proved with the
full range of formats used by eQSL. Use at your own risk!
It has been checked with text copied from IE, Firefox and Opera, but
not other browsers.
Later versions of the program may use the Windows GUI to get the file names.

1. While logged into eqsl.cc:
Go to your inbox and list your entire inbox.
Process any requests for confirming/rejecting eQSLs, but do not display
any cards at the moment (if you do, they will disappear into your archive!).
Refresh the screen so that all the contacts are now shown as in your log.
Using your mouse, select the text of the QSO data for all the records shown
in your inbox. It is easiest to start the selection at the header line and
continue to the bottom of the inbox. All data which is not recognised as
a valid QSO is ignored.
Right click and select 'copy text'. If you are using Opera you can
alternately select 'copy to note' which is slightly quicker.
Open a new blank text document, open it and paste the text into that
document. Save it with a suitable filename - eg eqsl.txt.
You should have a file similar to eqsl1.txt included in this archive.
Hopefully you have got the same. You can now display your cards and do whatever else
you want before leaving eQSL.

2. Extract eqsl.exe to a suitable folder, double click and run it.
On running you will get a Window to choose the file to convert - default folder is
C:\Temp but you can navigate to where the file is, double click to select.
The file is now processed, and a listing of the QSO data given. It will report the
number of QSOs processed. If you want to convert another file type Y otherwise N to exit.

3. The ADIF file is saved with the same filename but with a .adi suffix - eg eqsl.adi
Open your logging program and import the file. Done.

This program has largely been developed for my own personal needs. It makes the following
records in the ADIF file:
Call, Date of QSO, Mode, Band, RS(T) received - from eQSL log data
RST sent - 599 (I am a CW only op...)
QSL received date - set to today's date (ie that is when you saw it in your inbox)
QSL sent by - E - ie eQSL. Not all logging software uses this field.

This program is written in BBC Basic for Windows, and this compiled version can be
run on any PC licence free.
